Oh of course. My room mate brought up the fact he didnt like booz because he only plays during his contract years. I disagree with him, but boozer is a lil too injure prone for me, although he has been pretty healthy this year.
Remember what Boozer did to Jim Paxson? I don't get the sense that John Paxson is a forgive and forget kind of guy.
I think I'd rather have boozer than stoudemire mostly because I don't think he's getting a max deal, but he's a distant second to bosh. But I do think PF is a more urgent need for the bulls than SG mainly because Rose has shown the ability to carry the back court as long as he's playing next to a guy who can defend and knock down the occasional jumper.
really? I think i;d rather have Amare at this point. At least he'll stay on the floor 70 games a season.
I'd rather have 50 games of boozer at $12 mil-$14 mil than 70 games of Amare at the max. Amare's going to want the max for 5 years, and might even try and leverage a sign and trade. Boozer's rebound rate is about 25% better than Amare's. Boozer has double the assist rate, and the same tov% with about the same usage. And he's only a year older than Amare and no knee or eye surgery history. And Amare is a prima donna to Boozer's backstabber. And David Lee might be the best pickup out of the three if you could get him for $10-12 mil a year. And that's entirely likely if NY goes for Amare or Boozer and Lee has the choice of playing at center for the knicks or PF for the bulls. He could end up in Miami, but is signing Lee the type of commitment Wade is looking for? Then again, I don't think Lee puts the bulls over the top of anything but getting to the second round.
I'd still rather have Boozer because of the stats that bullshooter mentioned. Dont get me wrong, I like Amare too, but I think Boozer is more efficient. Amare is just WAY more athletic
There's really only one stat you care about... In his last five seasons, Amare has season of 3 and 53 games. What's the difference? Amare rebounds like Brad Sellers.
I've basically come to the conclusion that anything outside of Lebron, Bosh or Wade will be an effort to make chicken salad out of chicken shit.
I don't hold the fact Lee's been on terrible Knicks teams against him. I mean, he's only one guy, and even Kevin Garnett couldn't win much when surrounded by a terrible team. That doesn't mean I think Lee could hold KG's hog, but I do think he's an above average young player. If we have to make chicken salad, he's one of the pieces that looks a little more more like chicken than most of the others.
It's not so much about making chicken salad out of chicken shit, it's about making chicken salad out of horse shit and making you think it's chicken shit and to like it.
