Not of a big fan of Rock altogether, but I do listen to some Rock songs, ocassionally. I'd have to go with Power Pop Rock and Blues Rock.

Actually i dont consider the stuff ppl call "punk" now is punk. Its just pop.Green Day and what not is not Punk. Go listen to the Sex Pistols, the Clash, The Ramones, etc if you want some real punk. All that stuff that claim they are punk is a disgrace.
hmmm..... i don't know really, i guess i like them all, it don't matter to me what catagory they are in, whether it's pop punk or heavy metal, if the music sounds good to me then i like it

I'd put the Allman Brothers in that Blues category, the original name of that band was The Allman Brothers Blues Band, they have tons of bluesy music. I'd change the Power Pop Rock genre to classic rock and put Cream, Zeppelin, Beatles, and the who all in it. Anyway after clearing that up, I'd say Classic Rock is my favorite type of music, the new music today sucks. all that emo crap...it's bi*ch music and guys whining about girls, it's pathetic honestly.

That's why there isnt a Classic Rock term. Sadly one day, the stuff that is new right now will be considered classic rock. And yes, Cream and Zeppelin is considered Blues Rock. Both had big blues influenes. Trust me on the Cream and Zeppelin thing. Listen to Zeppelin's stuff, esp. the 1st 2 albums and you will hear a major blues influence. All the members of Cream consider themselves blues players. I will halfway agree about the Allman Brothers thing, but they are mostly known for their southern rock hits. And yes, Power Pop, thats what bands like The Who, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones call there genre. It harder than regular pop but not as hard as Heavy Metal. And yes, Grateful Dead be put in Jam Rock, but they can also be considered Folk Rock. They did play with a guy by the name of Bob Dylan alot. What would you consider him?? I honestly dont like the term "classic rock" because when all this music was first put out, it wasnt called that. That is why i didnt want ppl to use that term. That is by far taking the easy way out. Of course i could of put that and covered all my fav. stuff, but i didnt. I also agree about the emo music, it sucks @ss big time.
