When you're already on the unhappy side of 30 and you want to make a new career for yourself in MMA, you need to hit the ground running. Boxing legend Ricardo Mayorga is paying attention. The beer-swilling, cigarette-sucking Nicaraguan has decided to get in on this MMA fad and will debut May 15 for Shine Fights at Worlds Collide. His first opponent is UFC veteran Din "Dinyero" Thomas, a veteran of over 30 pro MMA fights and a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt. Thomas was arrested in 2007 for hosting a smoker in Port St. Lucie, Florida, but charges were dropped when the Assistant District Attorney was convinced it was a student training exercise.
