Nice guy, good solid player, and a complete waste of PT which should be used developing a PG who isn't retiring in 2 years. KP blew his chance to get value back in a trade, and now we're where we were last year, but with more injuries and fewer solutions. It's stuffy in here, did someone just close a window?
Always trying to stir the pot! I'd say Miller has at least 4 years left. He is such a smart player he knows how to play hard without overworking himself. Furthermore, I think his playing time sets a precedent to whoever is trying to learn behind him. Perfect Example for a young PG to learn from
Miller is a very good point guard, I've liked him for quite a while. He's not a superstar and never has been, but he's consistently been a top-10 point guard, in my opinion. Now he may be just outside the top ten due to age-related decline, but he's still well above average. I think it's very impressive that he came here with his biggest strength being pushing the ball in transition, realized how risk-averse McMillan's system is and has been successfully adapting his game to that. How many players are both willing and able to move away from their greatest strength and still be successful?
He just had to dig deep into his memory banks and remember what it was like to play for Rick Majerus at Utah.
Speaking of which......I could not help but smile at the irony as I watched JJ (a PG many blazer fans wanted gone from here) starting and playing most of the minutes over Calderon (A pG that many blazers fans felt was the missing link to a championship) What's up with that? Was that 1 fuck up or 2 fuck ups for KP? I lose count on this board.
I didn't know he was putting up these stats lately. Wow, impressive! I hope he keeps this up tonight against the Bulls.
This guy tries to bring it every game. He's relentless, and never gives up. Yes, he makes some bad decisions here and there but as a whole he tries to bring his "A game" every night. I am so happy that we signed him. A Warrior that doesn't quit. Its too bad his Dunk against denver didn't get his teammates get excited but I think this is what he was trying to prove.
that dunk last night by Miller was sick..... Seriously, who knew he had that in him?
That was a crazy dunk. I thought it was Roy at first and the announcer just got the name wrong. He was clearly trying to get the team going (and avoid getting blocked from behind). Kind of cool that it was on ESPN for all to see.
Clearly Miller has been sand bagging! That was dunk of the night material! Even the Denver crowd went wild.
Joking around last week I asked him when was the last time he had dunked in a game. He said 2 seasons ago in philly!
Mike and Mike just pointed out on the Blazers vs Kings game that Miller does very well using the pump fake drawing fouls on opponents. They mentioned that its a lost art and not many NBA players use it any more.
Devin Harris does, or at least he does it to us. I've lost count of how many times I've yelled at Blazers guards (on TV) to not go for his fake. Drives me nucking futs!
For Miller, age is a strength http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/writers/ian_thomsen/03/17/blazers.miller/index.html
