Boozer Wants to Stay Now

Last summer Carlos Boozer went public that the Jazz had agreed to trade him and even discussed the possibility of ending up in Miami or Chicago since there's a good chance he won't return to Utah after become a free agent in July. Boozer now is saying that he wants to stay in Utah.

According to The Salt Lake Tribune, Boozer was a guest on ESPN's "Jim Rome is Burning" Tuesday and said he's happy in Utah and wants to re-sign with the club.

"This is a team that I'm proud to be a part of and I hope it's an option for me to come back and stay," Boozer said. I've made that very clear and I''m really happy that we have a great team, we're a very deep team and we have a chance to stay good and hopefully get better as well. But this is a place I'd like to be and I hope the option is there for me this summer."

This now marks the second time Boozer has said such things. As we told you Monday, Boozer was saying similar things over the weekend.

Yet, shortly after the trade deadline, ESPN the Magazine's Ric Bucher reported Boozer likes Chicago as well.

Boozer only says he hopes its an option. Hell, I would like a 12M+ fallback plan too.....
