I bet you guys have also set the record of single day liquor sales in Canada.

And I don't mean this as a criticism. I'm just betting that 70% of Canada's population is currently ripped off their asses.

That was one of the best olympic moments in my history (haven't seen too many great olympic moments in my life). But the goal at the end of regulation was definitely up there. My whole house jumped up and screamed and scared my poor puppy.

    Good Times. Good job Canada!

We're actually even better at something else: desperately seeking American approval.

Not a big story in Portland, Oregon really. The game get's a mention and a pretty good article in the local paper and then disappears quickly after the game. If the US had won they'd probably hit a talk show or two before everyone forgot about their accomplishment. When the US and Canada played in Salt Lake, most people I knew here in Portland wanted Canada to win, cause y'all hadn't won in a long time, or something. I'm guessing the cultural epicenter of hockey in the US (Midwest/Northeast) were way more into it than the rest of the country. Culturally it's not a big deal everywhere. Kinda like how 10 of the 16 Aussie rules teams are in or in or around Melbourne, and there is only one AFL team in the Sydney area.
The Dream Team isn't even that a big deal.
