it would be really unfair to put Toney in against a ground specialist in his very first match, the outcome would be really obvious, at the same time Toney is a very accomplished boxer so to put him in against a striker that uses the hands exclusively, especially a guy that isn't that technical, IE Chuck Liddell, could be an embarrassment for the UFC. So I voted for Pat Barry, HD is a striker and will stand with Toney but he brings a dimension that Toney has never faced before in the form of high level kick boxing. I think a match like that would be a good way for Toney to be introduced to the MMA game, he's in his element in terms of standing and striking but it is also totally not his element in another way... Antoni Hardonk would also work in this scenario.
Personally, I'd give him the same treatment they did Brock. Say what you will about Lesnar, but the defeat by Mir didn't discourage him. He came right back and proved himself. If Toney gets his butt kicked by a good ground fighter, and promptly loses interest in MMA, then screw him. If it inspires him to hit the gym and work hard, then he deserves respect. If the goal is to generate some fireworks, put him in with Gonzaga. He has some ground skills, but will not hesitate to stand and strike either.
