what most of you dont realize is that your sore losers. give the magic some fucking credit for playing well and beating us, we only lost by a few points, its still regular season and you guys are giving up on our second best player, pau. I love reading the posts you guys make, and i love joining in on discussion, but its turning into a huge bi-polar zone right now, its like LG. get over it. we are a different team than last year so there are differences to be expected, other teams have gotten better through aquisitions, and i beleive our team has too, and that it will show much more come playoff time. we are still top of the west. i remember a few years ago we could barely make the playoffs, and you guys were still sticking around supporting the team. In the words of the late great joker "what happened, your balls drop off?". lets get some spirit back into this forum because its a real downer right now.
Bryant was obviously made because of how much crap Barnes was talking. Kobe ain't no punk to back down from a wannabe thug in Barnes, but he's smart enough to show the the officials that he is not the instigator. I love the fact that Fisher shoved Barnes in the fourth quarter. Someone needed to put him in his place, I wish it was Ron Artest though. Rodman would have kicked Barnes ass lol. At the same time, Gasol was getting owned by Dwight on the boards. He looked soft out there today while Dwight was killing him in the paint. Vince Carter had a nice game.
Barnes is a fucking idiot, trying to get under Kobe's skin. If these two teams meet again this year, the Magic are dead. Watch this video. 2:15 mark. Barnes tries to scare Kobe and he doesn't even flinch. lol Phil should've put in DJ to judo chop him.
I like the hard foul Gasol gave Howard after Howard tore his jersey. What I do hate about Gasol is when he turns away after someone gets in his face. He turns away and starts scratching his beard. I guess it's just not his nature to stare someone down and not take shit from other players. Jordan Farmar killed us on the defensive end. He's a completely different player at home and on the road. At least the Lakers cut down on the turnovers today. Kobe makes that jumper 9 out of 10 times and we had a chance to send it in overtime with all the momentum. Exciting finish, but lousy outcome. Time for the team to regroup after losing three straight games.
I was hoping Artest would make a louder statement with his game than his hair. He should have laid out Matt Barnes. I don't mind the back and forth he had with Kobe, but that cheap shot he took on Fisher was uncalled for. The game was over at that point. And why didn't the official call the foul? He saw the entire play take place and just shrugged his shoulders after Fisher asked why no call. Good for Fisher going after Barnes and taking things into his own hands since the official didn't do his job.
Shape, are you really going to bitch about a no call on Fisher? A dirty play on Fisher? A cheap shot on Fisher? Fisher has made those famous.
When was the last time we saw one of our players go in the face of ANOTHER player? I can't even remember. We're always usually backing down and shit. I know this isn't the UFC but come on. And what the hell is Artest so afraid of? I know he's trying to prove that he's changed, but we need that edgyness from him. He was never like this a couple years ago. If he saw one of his teammates getting bullied like Kobe did today with Barnes, (I know Kobe wasn't scared or anything), he would of went up straight to his face and talked shit.
I'm not worried about our players acting tough. Who cares, we aren't the Boston Celtics. We don't have to be fake thugs and try to bully everyone. Mental toughness is what matters most. If they want to push us around, fight back harder. You don't have to get into their faces, just let your play do the talking. Kobe is the master of this. I just wish the rest of the guys would follow. I'm seriously frustrated with Pau. He has been so disappointing this season. Last year, he was always there when we needed him. This year, it seems like he's back in his shell. He, along with the rest of the guys, really need to wake up. Hopefully things change when postseason starts, that's the only thing that matters anyways. ^ last year's Pau
Still all floppy and shit. lol ^ I was also going to say Fisher is the only one who doesn't take shit from no one.
Yeah I am. It took place when the game was out of reach right in front of the ref. Fisher wasn't involved with the feud.
