Portland started the season with an embarrassment of riches, talent and depth at every position. We found out what all that depth was good for - Portland would have to lose 9 straight games to be at .500, in spite of a ridiculous spate of injuries that has plagued the team all season. Portland isn't going to win a championship behind just Roy and Aldridge and some dregs. I don't see them as a threat this season, but you never know once the playoffs start. The match ups could work in the Blazers' favor as they did for Houston last year. I'm not meaning to rain on the Blazers' picnic. Far from it! It's stunning how great a season they've had given all the adversities. Oden's young still, Miller has gas in the tank, you've got Joel's expiring contract to deal over the summer or next season. I'd say things are looking up.
