You can't be serious. They suck? It is obvious that they are FUCKING BORED out there. I guarantee come play off time you'll see a different squad. When the games actually mean something to them. Nobody is catching us for 1st place and we're not catching Cleveland. Right now, we're just going through the motions. You're absolutely bat shit fucking stupid if you think Kobe, Phil, and Fisher (despite his on the court suckage, he is a hell of a leader) are going to let this team look this way when the games actually mean something. Still looking for a reason to ban you ;]
I thought they were bored too back a month or so ago, and maybe they still are bored, but its a fact that they just aren't as good or hungry as they were last year. I still think they are good enough to win it, but other teams are better than they were last year. The Cavs are better because of recent additions and Lebron is better. The Mavs are better. The Lakers seem more vulnerable than they have over the past 2 seasons. I can say I share some of KOBE23's disappointments and concerns. I just keep waiting for them to play stronger than they have and to do it consistently. Hopefully they can fix whatever issues they have whether it be a lack of focus or something else and gain some momentum heading into the playoffs.
Maybe, but dude at least read the fucking article i posted and not focus on 1 word i f*cking said (that they SUCK)... i even defined what i meant by it... for THEIR STANDARDS (as the defending champions) YES THEY SUCK! They should be playing way way way better. Its like no one has really read some of my posts and understood what i meant while arguing something i never said against me... its hilarious really You're right, Kobe Fish and Phil won't let it happen... But i don't think Kobe is AS capable of not letting it happen this year bec. of all his injuries. The only thing is, you're having trouble finding one aren't you? Because deep inside you know that you ain't got sh*t to ban me... This is a public forum isn't it? LOL What good would a forum be, where people should be able to voice out their opinion, when there are a few people like you who only accept answers that coincide with your own? Then that wouldn't be a forum, why don't you just put up your own site that lets people read your comments but then can't argue with you if you're such a sour grape I feel sorry for you that you're annoyed by me, but for me you are just dead funny especially with the way you react
Just because we're playing bad we suck? That is horrible logic. They're going through a funk. It happens to every team, in every league, during every season. Great teams go through lulls of down time. If you expect this team to come out and compete 100% every night, you're crazy. There isn't a single team in the league that does that. There isn't a single team in any league that does that. Shit, the 2000-2003 went through lulls like this. Last year we went through times like this. It is a part of the season! Why is that so hard for you to comprehend?
QuickShift made an excellent post. It's obvious we are struggling right now, tell me who has denied that? To go around and gloat about "how you were right" and saying that the team "sucks" makes you look like an idiot. The three peat teams, after the first championship, were extremely lazy and didn't always light the world on fire every regular season. We finished SECOND in the Pacific Division by THREE games to the Kings, before going on to win our 3rd title. So yes, there are obviously issues and weaknesses on our team. Name me one team in the league that's perfect. Can you do that? Bottom line is, we're a veteran team, we've been there, we've done that. The players are looking forward towards the playoffs. If you think we're just going to go out every night and dominate then you're delusional, we'll face tough challenges now, and in the postseason. It won't be an easy road to repeat, but at the end of the day, this team can compete and has a realistic chance at beating anyone in a 7 game series. You are a moron for saying this team sucks.
The Chicago Bulls won 72 games, 69 games, then 62 games in their second threepeat. After the first threepeat, PJax and the players tried extra hard to get the 72 wins, since it was something new to strive for. 69 wins is downright amazing in its own right. The decline over 3 years wasn't due to a lack of focus, they simply were getting old. Jordan was 34 when they won 62, Pippen 32, Harper 34, Rodman 36, Kerr 32, etc. It really is something special when a team has several quality players that don't want to lose any single game. That 72 win team lost two in a row one time and that was their longest losing streak. The 69 win team lost two in a row twice, the second time was games 81 and 82 after it was clear they weren't tying or beating the 72.
WHY THE HELL IS IT SO HARD FOR YOU GUYS TO READ SIMPLE ENGLISH? I SAID THEY SUCK IN TERMS OF "THEIR" STANDARDS... OMFG I NEVER COMPARED THEM TO OTHER TEAMS, because yes we are a very good team COMPARED TO OTHER TEAMS... And NO THEY SHOULDN'T BE BLOWING OUT EVERY OPPONENT... but they should do so MOST of the time! or AT LEAST clearly show that they are the better team... Why should they do that? Maybe so that they could rest the starters and ease a little pressure from the starting lineup and give the other guys some PT. A funk? They've been like this all season long...
This all started with my very first post on this topic (#4)... that was 1 post... and it was barely 1 line... the others were made simply in defense to all of your prosecution... seriously? how was that "going around gloating"?
i see you've just finished watching tropic thunder... lemme guess who your favorite character is... simple jack? oh yeah, i forgot... yeah maybe i mentioned that we should be blowing everyone out... but dude seriously? ever heard of "figures of speech"? its just an exaggerated statement... god, and to think English is your main language
You make it seem like it was some type of accomplishment, by pointing out the team's weaknesses, "first." You realized this team isn't perfect? Congratulations!!! Every Laker fan knew this team wasn't perfect, before the regular season even started.
We've been like this all season? Really? Damn for being a top 2 team in the league, that is an awesome fucking funk. I bet New Jersey would love to be in the funk that we've been in "all season"
kobe23 you are digging your own grave here buddy, just leave it alone, the lakers are a great team, a GREAT team. what they are capable of is proof of it, whether they are in a little slump is beside the point. They dont suck, and youre negative attitude is what is leading to you being argued against, because its not helpful. For the lakers standards, they still dont suck, they are good, because we are top of the west and 2nd best in the league behind a surging cavs team. id say the team is right where they need to be, especially considering our age and kobe's multiple injuries, the team needs to slow things down, even if it means a grumpy kobe, he'll get over it. and so should you.
The Lakers are a talented group, but I'm not sure if they are playing the best "team" basketball right now. They've struggled on the road, they have a lousy record against the top tier teams in the league, and we haven't seen chemistry. If you watch the past few games teams have figured out how to make the Lakers work on the offensive end. Teams are using zone against us and leaving the PG (Fisher Farmar, Brown) or Artest open from the perimeter. Defenses are packing the painted area and using a roamer when Kobe tries to isolate. Teams were trying to do this last near, but Ariza was killing teams from the 3 point line and Fisher shot a higher clip. Artest really struggled offensively during the 3 game losing streak. He's getting great looks, misses the shot, and then presses and throws up some low percentage crap. @ MIA 4/9 ( 1 for 4 from behind the arc) @ CHA 1/9 ( 0 for 4 from behind the arc) @ ORL 2/10 ( 1 for 5 from behind the arc) @ TOR 1/5 ( 1 for 2 from behind the arc) Farmar has been 3/14 from behind the arc the last 4 games Fisher has been 5/19 from behind the arc the last 4 games Brown has been 2/10 from behind the arc the last 4 games If these guys can't make open shots then it changes the complexity of our offense and makes it a lot harder to score inside. Will this cold shooting continue during the playoffs? We just don't know.
where's the proof? we are top of the west, like last season, and we are a few games behind clevlend for top spot. seriously, you've got to drop this, its just embarrasing for you.
