Man.... I'm in L.A. and on ESPN Radio, two Laker fans called in and said, totally straight, that they wouldn't trade Bynum for Dwight Howard, lol!! One other fan and one of the hosts said they wouldn't trade Bynum for Chris Paul! Clueless Laker fans...
Yeah, I was listening to that yesterday or the day before....Myers and Ireland I think. they weren't the callers....they were the fucking show hosts.
I would for Howard, however for defensive reasons. Bynum is more versatile offensively and a much better FT%. Defensively, he is good, but he is no D12. Don't want Paul, though.
lots of laker fans are idiots. i would make both of these trades in a heartbeat. though id have to think about bynum for paul actually. the problem with other teams fans is they only see the idiot laker fans, the dipshit celebrity bandwagoners. it makes the rest of us, who have been fans for over ten years through the best and worst times, seem like just another raving idiot laker fan who doesnt know nba basketball. dont be too hard on the laker fans, we hate the idiot bandwagoners as much as you do, maybe more actually.
worst times? What the fuck do Laker fans know about 'worst times'? especially one who is 20? you guys have won 4 fucking titles in your lifetime! And have been to the finals 6 g-d times. worst times.... Although I understand your point. Real Laker fans are guilty by association with the idiot Laker fans.
rofl Hey there were like 7+ years in the 90's where we only were sorta good...thats worst times!!! we only made a finals appearance!!! ...rofl
Honest question to you guys here, why do you guys hate on Bynum so much in Portland? Is it beacuse of the media-created Bynum/Oden rivalry? Is it just because he is a Laker? Is it because his knees are "ticking time bombs"? You have to at least admit to the kids serious potential, right?
I really don't care about Andrew one way or the other I wanted to see Oden dominate him during his rookie season, but these days I would just be happy to see Oden PLAY a full season. I think both players have been plagued by injuries, which has made the supposed rivalry sort of a moot point.
well in comparison to other teams, no 'times' for the lakers have been bad, but relatively speaking, as a team we sucked after the shaq trade and that was a huge drop in wins, we didnt make the playoffs, and it just exercises my point of how these "fans" were not around then to cheer on the team, when i was, even if it wasnt to other teams standards of "worst times". the word worst is relative to its context. Even when i was young and living on the other side of the world, where its harder to follow the nba as its not televized on national tv here. My age has nothing to do with it, ive been a DIE HARD lakers fan since about 6 years old, no joke, so thats about 14 years of following a team every single season, every game, non-stop. but im glad you still understand my point. its very annoying to deal with these types of fans, they give the rest of us a bad name.
There are a lot of people here that still wouldn't trade Oden for Brook Lopez either. Right now Lopez has proved to be a lot better
Your analogy is flawed. Oden for Lopez is not the same as Bynum for Paul. I would not trade Oden for Lopez but I would do Oden for Paul in a second.
