When he takes down six rings and shows the ability that he literally cannot be stopped, then I will say that! I can't believe Pippen actually said that right now.

Especially since Pippen played right by Jordan,I don't think he actually meant this.

There will never be a player better than Michael jordan. MJ in his earlier days averaged 35ppg and was the best perimiter defender in the league. Lebron's defense does not exist. When lebron plays good defense then it'd be close.

Are you kidding me? Phil Jackson and Scottie Pippen are the last 2 people I would ever imagine saying that. Wow, Scottie. What are you thinking?

Alright i'm tired of this, LeBron is 21 years old, at this point Jordan was at UNC, Jordan didn't start winning titles late into his 20's, LeBron has plenty of time to get his jumper and defense up to an elite level.

BCB, you are a very smart man :)MJ didn't win his first title until he was 27 years old....to put that in retrospective of MJ compared to Bron, KOBE is only 27 right now. Kobe has 3 rings, and has been league for 10 years, and came into league at same age as bron. Anotherwards, Bron has another 7 years or so before you can start bi*ching about him not having rings. If Bron can improve his defense and make that jumpshot more consistent, he will be just as good, if not better, than MJ skill-wise.

LeBron has like 20 or so years to get championships, very possible, and I can say he'll be better than MJ when it's said and done. He's already one of the best in the league at such a young age. This was on in the halftime Suns/Lakers game 7 too.

Lebron isn't as quick as Jordan. I see that being the difference between the 2.

It is very weird that Scottie would say this. He, better than anyone, knows just how good MJ was, and I don't think a guy like Scottie would say this. But I guess he did...Odd

I think James strength and power going to the whole makes up for Jordan being slightly quicker. I also agree with BCB, there is still alot of years left in Lebron James, so he has many years to try for those rings.

Bron is also 2 inches taller, with very long arms, so that will be a difference.

He may be more powerful or not as quick but that doesnt matter. there have been alot of players who where more powerful than Jordan in the NBA, and most of them failed. Jordan didnt win his first championship until he was 27 because the NBA was a lot deeper back than, three of the greatest dynasties in NBA history played back than, also, Jordan was the star, unlike Kobe, who was a secondary star to an established star. had Jordan played with Jabbar, Magic, Bird, Earving than quite possably he would have won a title earlier. instead Jordan got Orlando Woolridge.

One of the things most championship teams had were sidekicks,Kareem and Magic,Jordan and Pippen,Larry and Russel just a few examples.Until LeBron learns to play defense and gets a better supporting cast I do not see him winning a ring.

Detroit, San Antonio, Dallas, Miami, Suns, NJ, etc... are all very tough teams. MJ didn't win his first championship until Pippen started to emerge. That was the difference.
