I would say your proposition is fantasy at best. I accept the fact that Oden is not turning out as well as Durant. But it doesn't mean we should dwell on it. People make mistakes, as long as they learn from them and move forward, I have no problem with that.
It's tough to do an apples-to-apples comparison, as the Thunder are put together differently than the Blazers. Let's just say they are a young team on the right track - but haven't quite gotten there yet. I like their chances, but as we have personally witnessed, many things can go wrong.
I think they are much like Portland of last year. The hype and promise shown this year will lead to much higher expectations next season. Also, much like Portland of last year, OKC hasn't really gotten fucked by the injury bug. They haven't really lost anyone who is important to the team for any real length of time. I wonder if that will change next year for them as well the law of averages and all that.
Might want to hitch your wagon to a different horse, I say. (Not that I have any opinion on the Pixies, I never really paid attention, maybe I should, I do not know, the style seems promising).
I think they're great, personally, but they may not be for everyone. You should try them, because if you like them, then your user name will have even more significance! So, some horses have been named after the Pixies, eh? High honour.
All GMs wish they could have that luxury. If you had to choose now, based on everything you know and the potential of each player, who would you choose. I understand the answer could be different in 2 years . . . in fact I'm guessing KP's answer is different from 2 years ago.
It really isn't. About all that's left is the appeal (Greg getting a chance to actually play in 80%+ of a season)
Not sure if this was said yet but I think a big factor is can OKC sign there young players? The blazers can and will not sure the Thunder can do that.Just thought to add that
