Last year I said Victor Claver was a likely target and would be stashed.

This year I think a likely target is Giorgi Shermandini. It was known he'd pull out of the draft but was brought in for a workout in Portland before he flew back to Europe.

Do Pendy and Daunte have guaranteed contracts for next year?

I'd be surprised if we stashed a euro this year in the draft. I think we have a few needs to address.

This made me laugh out loud for real

The Blazers select a center with a history of injuries. I think they are poking a little fun at us.

Blazer centers in the first round

    Martin
    Walton
    Bowie
    Sabas
    Oden

Have any of them not had injury problems? I think Martin just sucked, and Thompson was really a power forward. Am I missing someone?

Center in the NBA for 82 games a season, doesn't get much harder on a big man's body. Especially in today's game when even the PG's can bull you over

I see your point, but we need some depth at that position if we are to make any run at a title.

I agree . .. I think it is more likely a center will have lingering injury issues than they won't in their NBA career.
