It went downhill for Outkast after Aquemini.

Aquemini is one of my favorite hip-hop albums of all-time.

    Speakerboxxx, Stankonia were horrible.

while biggie was doing this, 2pac was getting on the downlow with a dance instructer so he could get a gig as a hammertime backup dancer.

I just re-read your comment and I saw Royce da 5'9.... that dude was awesome. I didn't hear much from him though. How many albums did he have? I don't think I've listened to him in ten years.

Oh, and I would like to point out that this is probably one of my favorite rap songs of all time. It never gets old.

Royce and Eminem (Bad Meets Evil) - Scary Movie. Bad Meets Evil is probably my favorite rap group to listen to right now.

I was in HS and a group of us took a trip to L.A. and as I was driving to the school at 4AM this song was playing on KBOO (remember they used to play hiphop?)

Three pages and no reference to:
Here's the order of my list that it's in, I got
    Reggie, Jay-Z, Tupac and Biggie
Andre from Outkast, Jada, Korrupt, Naz and then me.

Regulate and Fantastic Voyage were my real intro to rap in 94, though I'd heard a bunch of the late-80's stuff that Northern California white middle school kids listened to. Then I roomed with a guy who introduced me to Biggie in 97. Flipped a switch in my brain for a while. I just don't listen to music enough anymore to know. I liked Eminem a lot for a while, because I thought the rhyme and flow were genius. Others I knew listened a lot to Mobb Deep and the like, but it seemed as if rap was going to the expletive-filled, advisory-sticker, check-me-out-i'm-a-b!tch-hittin'-gangsta brand management rather than telling a story through rhyme. And now that it's here, I don't have the energy to search for something "good". But I'll take recommendations.

Eminem up until 2003 was one of the best rappers to ever pick up a microphone, IMO.
