seriously, just live on your own! Your parents must have some single bedroom apartments, say you're moving into one of those, get cheap rent off your parents and he and his gf can figure it out.

I had a roommate who had a girlfriend who would get jealous if he even associated with another girl. Well, she goes down to Eugene to go to school, then calls him up a month later and asks his permission to sleep with another guy just for a no-strings-attached kind of deal. I suppose that's it's good that she asked first, but considering how she feels about him even opening his mouth around another chick, it was really hypocritical. So instead of just dumping her for that, he decides to go down to Eugene and live with her on the weekdays. He'd lost his job recently before that, and he wasn't paying any bills anymore, and since he wasn't around most of the time, I just told him to stay down there.

Also, I can't imagine not inviting my roommate for a single meal after three years. I would probably take it as a snub, unless she's friendly with you without seeming like she's forcing it. NB3 is right. Try cooking for them a time or two, and see what happens. If nothing, then forget about it.
