Wow... he really summed it up in this little response....

Whats your take on the Blazers? Even when they win, they seem to be struggling with something I cant put my finger on.

    J.A. Adande

I liked Doug Collins' take last night, that they don't have a dynamic personality. Roy is great but still has only one playoff series to his name, and isn't very vocal. Miller has been around longer, but is even less vocal. Aldridge is quiet. Juwan Howard is respected, but you can't run your offense through him. So there's no one for them to rally around.

Better fake fans would be a good start.

I agree. No swagger. That's what happens when you go for "good guys".

But I guess the Spurs didn't either.

see this is why blazer fans get mocked.

you cant say anything negative (in this case its 100% true what J.A. said) and you have to attack me. Im just posting what he said. Relax little one... and dont be mad cause the J.A. speaks the truth.

I am not angry. I gave you a fantastic answer. Sebastian Loeb. If you can't rally around him..., you can't rally. Don't be mad because it's the truth.

Bruce Bowen was far from good. He was flat out evil. :devilwink:

You have to remember when the Spurs run started, they had David Robinson, and while not a bad guy, he was a very strong leader. So was a guy named...Avory Johnson. Once established, it is much easier to keep the winning mentality in place than it is to gain it in the first place.

We need a personality that will yell at his teammates when they need it.

Kinda like what Chris Paul does to his teammates. A control freak, but in a good way.

Not even Denver rallies around Anderson. He's a spark off the bench. We need a straight up asshole like Chris Paul.

Roy is fine for that at times. but sometimes he looks whiny. Camby I've seen do stuff like that same with Juwan.

We all know straight up who the leader of Denver is. His name is Chauncey Billups.

Hustle guys don't provide leadership, but they do provide energy and spark. Portland needs a vocal leader.

Ever wonder why Martell Webster had to remind Roy that he wasn't playing as "explosively" as he was on in the past? That was straight up in the paper today.

Hell not even Nate is as vocal as he used to be. He used to scream at the team all the time. Now he just sits there looking sullen.

"He'd fly through the air with the greatest of ease,
That daring young man on the flying trapeze.
His movements were graceful, all girls he could please
And my love he purloined away."

    Sounds like Rudy.

No, you can say something negative and give out constructive criticism, but you take it to such an extreme that separates you from actually being a fan.
