Im gonna include thursdays game since it ended early friday morning here on the east coast. But that weekend should have clinched us playoffs assuming we dont collapse down the stretch. But Im impressed. Great job by the blazers. Not to mention Denver beat memphis saturday. Just a great weekend for the Blazers. Oh and I was a big Hedo supporter coming here... but i wouldnt trade Miller for Hedo or his wife at this point. Hedo looks run down and old. The only downer... man I feel bad for Martell. Hes really lost.
I think this whole 11 or so game stretch has been kind of weird. We had a few frustrating wins and a couple tough losses. But then you step back and look and see that they're 9 of the last 11 it's awesome, doesn't matter who the opponents were. And to think that this team still is only 2 games off pace of the same record last year is nothing short of amazing.
ya know what really sucks..... the blazers were the last team to face the real bulls team. the grizz beat them without noah and dang. teh grizz get them again tuesday without the noah, deng, hinrich. thats bad luck for us. had we caught them 1 day later... it would be 10-11. still a great job by the blazers
Denny -- S2 has been comprimised. Someone has hacked Mixum's account. I recommend spamming people with PM's about changing their passwords. That is all.
The opposition was not that great during that stretch, so I do not think it was the best week for the Blazers this year (the week when we won against SAS and Dallas away with Roy not playing against SAS was better, imho) - but it was clear that they have done well. Some of us knew that was coming - this team is too good, too well coached and has too much heart not to make the Playoffs. Hollinger's playoffs odds have the Blazers at 98.3% making the playoffs, with Houston at 3.5% and Memphis at 1.1% - as we said earlier, Memphis is done, and so is Houston. What is interesting is to ask - what seed the Blazers are going to get. The playoffs odds give them the 8th seed - but, the playoffs odds does not know a thing about injuries - and the Blazers, other than big Greg, are finally healthy, while the Spurs are going to miss Parker and OKC is finally facing some adversity with the loss of Harden. I would guess that we finish 7th or 6th - but, who knows. The Spurs prove their experience by so far taking care of business, OKC has had the luck of facing a broken down Utah when they finally get injured and PHX seems to be rolling again. I still think we finish 6th or 7th.
I am glad the effort has returned to the Blazers. Everybody is working hard again, and it all starts at the top. The team goes how Roy goes.
I don't see this being the best Blazer weekend. More like Blazers taking care of business weekend. Beat a top team over the weekend and I would consider that a better weekend.
well to make the playoffs imo (with a tough upcoming sched after wiz) we need at worst 3-4 of these from last tuesday. beating the wiz will make this a huge point in our season.
