He won't change . . . Ptd is just a side market. I like Colin, but during the season I perfer local talk in the morning. Guess I'm stuck with Dwight, ugh. I had a feeling Keeny and the chick he did the show with wouldn't last (listened to them but constantly flipped, it was boring). I hope Dwight doesn't last. Put him on with Wheels in the afternoon and get some energy fpr the morning would be my recommendation.
Not much he *can* do differently. In a market where the NBA matters, he knows more about professional pretzel tossing than he does about basketball.
true but canzano is good at finding other things to talk about.....baseball, nfl football(they used to cover this good), anything else but all blazers and all ducks.
The way I see it, you have a choice: blowhards who are full of themselves, but who actually talk about the Blazers and other Northwest sports stuff (95.5), or interesting discussion with only a slight trace of ego, but that almost never touches the NW (1080). I'm speaking specifically of Gavin & the idiots savant in the AM and John "let me give more publicity to my idiot stalker to further stoke my already inflated sense of myself" Canzano in the PM... as opposed to Colin Cowherd and Dan Patrick on 1080. The exceptions? Jim Rome on 95.5 is totally unacceptable because he has the blot-out-the-sun ego to go with virtually no discussion of anything in the NW (worst of both worlds!). But on the other hand, Wheels at work - when Wheels is actually on the show - is actually pretty darn good. Courtside is a decent show, too... and I actually don't mind "Strong at Night" - but I think it's because he's just not as full of himself as the others. Oh, and the exception in the other direction - I forgot about them because they're so utterly forgettable - is Isaac and Suke on 1080. They're god-awful, and getting worse it seems. As much as Canzano irritates me, he is bald head and shoulders above the aging teenagers on the AM side.
