Bosh is a definite upgrade over Aldridge, but it depends on what else Toronto would want.

There are not many teams out there that wouldn't go after Bosh if he was available, I have no idea why they singled the Blazers out in particular here, besides Bosh being in town.

LMA and Bosh are friends. I doubt Bosh would agree to a sign and trade where his good friend would wind up in a place where he himself is trying to get the hell out of. So unless Bosh can play 25 minutes a game at the 3 then i see no option here.

I noticed that ESPN has a story on the same thing. Anybody with Insider access want to give us a synopsis of what they have to say?

It would have to be Bosh for LaMarcus and something else of value. Rudy or Batum seem the most likely, and as much as the Raptors love international players, either of them would probably be welcomed by Colangelo.

Are either of those combinations worth Bosh? I'm not sure.

Once again, it really doesn't matter. The GM's aren't friends.

Give them Aldridge and/or whatever they want sans Roy (Knowing they wouldn't want Oden)

Bosh and Roy together would be mental.

How sad is it that anywhere in the country any website or paper could quote a "Blazer Insider" like Canzano or Dwight Jaynes and think it's a legit source. Kinda scary!

Bosh would be such a significant upgrade that I would be willing to give up Rudy and a pick in addition to Aldridge to get Bosh. The guy is a pretty big competitor, something very different than Aldridge.

How can it not matter? Is Bosh not a UN-restricted free agent? If he is, then he and his agent will be calling the shots. Not the GM's. Bosh has too many options then to screw over his friend. Unless LMA wants to go there. But why would he if he thinks Bosh so desperately wants out?

Indeed ... hell I'd give them draft rights to all of our overseas players too, since Colangelo seems to value Euros so highly.

    I think he'd like Freeland.

Claver and Bargnani have too similar skill sets.

Yeah, this is what I'm thinking, too.

It'd make sense for the Blazers, IMO.

Maybe Aldridge wouldn't think it's such a raw deal to be the #1 option on his own team. Might be kind of nice for him to emerge from Roy's shadow. I wouldn't want to go there if I were Aldridge, but I don't have the ego of an NBA player drafted at #2.

Rudy + Aldridge for Bosh makes a fair amount of sense for both teams. They'd get more overall quantity of talent, but we'd get the best player.

Man, we'd have an insanely good rebounding team if Oden comes back to full health.

I am ALL for Aldridge/Rudy/picks to get Bosh. Then all we need is a long term answer at the point and a backup big and we're back in business.

    Miller/Jaybay
    Roy/Martell
    Batum/Dante
    Bosh/??
    Oden/Pryz or Camby?
