I have actually been thinking about him since i made a trade for him in 2k10 ;)

but seriously, he can create his own shot, shot pretty well, and would fit well with this team. I think the Blazers could get him for the MLE, and i would surely welcome him here.

He just turned 30, so he has got 3-4 more good years in him.

Last two seasons w/knicks (and yes i know they are a terrible team):

    19.3 PPG, 6 RPG, 44% FG, 35% 3PFG

I wonder if this is the same source from the post who was certain we had interest in Nate Robinson last summer.

We need bigs, so Harrington actually makes a little sense.

He is a useful player, if the alternative was adding nothing I would get him if he would accept a backup role. But optimally I would target more of a defender and less of a guy who wants to camp out at the three point line.

Doesn't fit the culture. Would love it though. play that 6th man role.

No thanks. I'd like to think there will be better options (in terms of fit) left out in the cold this summer.

At the 3, he would take time away from Batum, and I'd look for a different skillset at the 4.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Depends on what Portland were giving up. He's a good player this year, but he seems to be having a peak season (which isn't unexpected at age 29). He has a 17+ PER this year and a 15+ PER last year...after seasons between 10-14 PER.

If the cost were cheap, I'd be willing to pick him up and see how long he can remain productive. If Portland had to pay for him as though this year's level is his new, established level, I'd pass. Far too much chance of regression.

Knicks fans on realgm seem to hate him, apparently he's gotten all pudgy as well, not sure if he's worth it. Then again Knicks fans are probably pretty cynical at this point.

He is possibly the most selfish player in the NBA on the court. And his decision making skills are < Outlaw's.

    I hate his game.

    No thanks.

Oh, and Rudy is our 6th man.

I think that Brandon would get mad at him too much, because Al likes to shoot... A LOT!!! Al is kind of a thug, too. I do think we need another thug to bang with JP. But not Harrington.

Do we really need another outside shooting big man with mediocre rebounding\defense?

I would point out that a guy like Al, makes a perfect 6th man. You will note that Jamaal Crawford, who was much the same type of player, flourished once he finally went to a good team with the right role, the 6th man. I can see him doing the same somewhere.

He's the epitome of a chucker.

He'll look even worse in Nate's slow-it-up system.
