Barry hit his 713th tonight against the Phillies. It was a towering shot into right field. Barry is now one shy of tying Babe Ruth's record. Any predictions on when he will do it? And looking to the future when will he break Hank Aaron's record of 755, I believe, or will he ever?
I don't think Barry Bonds will break Hank Aaron's record. He's just too broken down... I don't think he'll be playing after this season.

Aarons record for homerun is under the "unbeatable record for decades to come"same thing for Dimaggio's hit streak.
If I were a Giants fan I'd be pissed, my team is in last place right now and all anyone can talk about is Barry Bonds's questionable race to set the home run record.
Bonds has a chance to get to Aarons record. There is a lot of controversy among Bonds, just like there was among Hank. Except, steroids isn't a race.Bonds will get the home run record? I don't see it happening. Injuries are possible, and he still plays in the outfield. There's no DH in the NL.
He will probably pass Babe Ruth within 5 days. It's very sad because Babe actually did it in an era where hitting 30 HR was spectacular and he actually did it with skill not with drugs.
