Yeah that is 100% asinine reason....

Very few if ANY teams would have taken Durant over Oden, who even with all the injuries showed real promise this season, and is what 21?

And if they fire KP then they'll have to bring in a guy that SWEARS ON HIS MOM that he would have drafted Durant given the same situation. SWEARS ON HIS MOTHER!!!

Good luck with that. Over 90% of people that you could even consider for the GM job in Portland would have drafted Oden as well. This whole thing is beyond retarded to me.

Pretty stupid if KP is being criticized for picking Oden. All 30 GM's hands down would have picked Greg it was a no brainer.

Oden was not the mistake on that day. It was trading ZBO for essentially nothing and now he's an allstar. Tom Penn, Cap Genius (esquire), is probably to blame for the theory of Imaginary Cap space being useful in building a team for the future.

Z-Bo was a knucklehead, underachiever that was disliked by his teammates and known as a blackhole on offense and played little to no defense. There wasn't much of a market for him. To get what we got for him was a bargain.

he was not an underachiever. quite the opposite.

What we got from it was nothing. I called for a firing at that time, it just took time for the shit of that trade to materialize onto itself.

shouldn't need to. we already had them both and really didn't get anything back in return. so lets trade imaginary cap space for ZBO...good deal!

reminder: trading ZBO was supposed to open things up for LMA to turn him into an allstar.

Its not revisionist. Its the reason Penn got fired (primarily the false promise of imaginary cap space).

It took Zach 9 years to be an All Star. Why expect it from Aldridge after 4? Maybe it has opened things up for him to eventually be an All Star.
