Re: Why The Mavs Lost Game 1!? Dirk's gotta find another sweet spot that is close to the rim. Dirk will have to fight for position instead of trying to get position off the dribble. He needs to get it before he gets the ball just like most post players. The problem with San Antonio is Duncan is so good at double teaming players in the post. You can't pass over Duncan so you are blinded on the weak side so you are limited to side you are on. San Antonio than can rotate off that easier.

When you have a 7 footer playing on the perimer, he is not going to get the calls like a player who actually plays his position. All the fouls that were called against the Dallas Centers were fouls and I remember one fould in particular on the spurs that they didnt call on Dirk and thats about it. It was the one in the last minute or so in the game.....im sure u remember

Basically he's saying noone can complain about the Refs...even if it's a little unfair.We all know superstars get calls, and role players don't.The problem most of us Mavs fans have...is that Dirk doesn't seem to get the same calls as other superstars in teh league...and that's what sucks.
