Agree. Once again, Crapzano is making shit up to bring attention to himself. He's pathetic. I noticed that he kept saying that Tom Penn was "Vice President of the Trail Blazers". That isnt true. Penn was Vice President of Basketball Operations & Asst. GM. BIG BIG BIG difference.
Canzano can't get a real reason for the firing, so he speculates with second-hand information and dedicates a 3 hour radio show and column to it. He's going to look like even more of an idiot when (or if) the real truth comes out. But, I'm sure he will take it in stride and ignore it, like he usually does when he's wrong, which is most of the time.
Funny thing is I think the agent played Canzano. Agent goes to press and gives just enough to have the media start questioning if KP is next and to feel sympathy for Penn. Canzano gets the story . . . but the agent controlled the story.
Sorry, but figuring out we could get a trade exemption in the Zach deal was not rocket science. If KP could not do this on his own or with the help someone paid alot less, he is not a good GM. I still like the deal, but it still required a massive buyout of Francis and gave away an All-star. With the raise Penn recieved after the Minnesota episode, the bar was set pretty high to justify his pay. IMO, he failed to do that.

QFT. I heard a few of the calls that came in later last night on Rip City Live. I couldn't believe some of the stuff I was hearing. All I could think was "Hook, line and sinker.".
