Now that a straw vote in the House is 219 NO, 212 YES on the healthcare bill and momentum is running against it, do you support the 'slaughter" rule whereby the entire bill is attached to a completely different piece of legislation that will certainly pass, and thereby avoiding a vote altogether on the bill? It allows the dems to, literally, not vote on the bill and just make it law by a minority vote? In an interview, Obama strongly supports this. Me, I think every individual bill or person up for a vote for a judicial position (as an example) should get a straight up or down vote.
