So I'm wanting to design my own Blazers t-shirt without violating copyright laws, and mixum's "Craziest season ever" thread got me thinking about Blazer history. It'd be kind of cool to create a shirt with simple icons representing every year since the Blazers' inception. So for example, the season ending in 2010 will clearly be the year of injuries, so I'm thinking a graphic of a crutch. (Designed correctly I suppose it could also look like Greg Oden's dong, which also works.) 2000 would be two hands crossed in a choking manner. 2003 or so would be the Mo Cheeks facepalm. After that I start to get a little stuck. Maybe a few of you could help me fill in some blanks. Ideally you can come up with an icon to represent the season, but even just a defining event from that season would be helpful. 1970 Franchise starts. Probably need both front and back of the shirt to make it work. If it looks good, I'll probably put it up on Cafe Press for sale. Probably something I'll work on in my spare time over the coming month or so. I'll update as slots get filled in. If several ideas come from any season I'll try to add them all so I've got choices to work with.
Awesome moment. The thing I remember about the actual moment is he had a funny way of pulling his jersey to the side that one time only (see the 56 second mark in the video). For a second it looks like he's going to rip off all his clothes because he's so happy. I might just do that in silhouette.
Yeah, that was the same year as the National Anthem. I'll add it, but I kind of think Mo Cheeks helping the little girl was more iconic. Hell, it was the closest he ever came to actually coaching.
2007, since that was the summer of the year of the draft. Maybe 3 white balls in pyramid shape with a #1 on the top one to signify the lottery. I'm a little stumped at how to represent that one graphically. Hmm.
lol. Not bad, but a little tricky to communicate in a 1x1" space (which is probably how each icon will come out). Besides, I'd argue it was more of a nosedive than a watershed.
2004 - Cut The Check (an icon of a check should be pretty easy) 2009 - Perhaps an icon of a baby for the youngest roster in the league *waits for Ed's head to explode* I mean, the youngest active roster in the league?

For 2009 you could do a small playoff bracket to symbolize our return to the playoffs. 92 you could do something regarding our appearance in the finals against MJ and the Bulls. 95 could be Clyde being traded.
