Wojnawhatsisname has been obsessed with Pritchard for ages. Go back and check out all the shit he was spewing after Hedo turned us down. Anyone regret that happening?

The only vaguely interesting part was where it implied that the reason Nate works year-to-year is that he doesn't want to commit long-term with Pritchard. But that's pretty weak. Most plausible part is that the Agent has fouled the water.

BUT: one positive thing I read (Vecsey, I believe - why is it that all the sources for this story are complete pricks?) was that Mark Warkentein (sp?) was very likely to be Pritchard's replacement if Pritchard left. Now that I could live with.

The thing I still don't get is how all these articles try to say that the Blazers were duped by Penn/Pritch on Penns so called deal with Minny for GM and how they found out , AFTERWARDS, that it was not for as much power as they thought... Why would the Blazers not have talked to Minny during the contract process instead of wait and find out later and then fire him? It makes no sense and tells me that this is just another random rumor some idiot started since there is no real answer out there.

People need to stop "assuming" and maybe understand that Penn did something serious internal and that it most likely has nothing to do with Pritchard at all. How come a lot of you are so impatient to wait until the summer for the real facts to come out and too see if KP actually gets fired or not and to see if Nate "signs" another year deal or not before jumping to conclusions and running scared saying all these crazy things?

Fuck the front office, I am worried as to why our players are in the midst of playoff seeding, having a huge oppo to move up in the standings last night, and seemed to play with no drive at all??? Is that on coaching? Because it always seems this team is never really motivated and that when certain players are it is because the decided to, not because coach fired them up. Also, coaching is killing all momentum with rotations... We go on a huge run and it time to rotate according to McMilliam an we go from up 6 to down 8 in a flash. I am sick of it. I don't care about the front office right now, I care about the product on the court especially after season ticket renewals were shoved down our throats and then all this comes out...

So its time for you to find a new team then, right? If you hate everything Blazers, and you are from the East Coast, why do you still "follow" them and call yourself a "fan"?

    I feel so used.

Clearly the Meet and Greets were all just a ploy by KP to get us fans to demand that he get a raise.

At the same time the article makes sense in context with what we've seen this year. Both Quick and Ben Golliver have noted multiple times that KP's been notably withdrawn since the start of the season.

    Actually, this is MIXUM thread.

Every piece of negative gossip reported about the Blazers is true. Nobody knows anything about the NBA except him. kpee will be fired and he will show the rest of these internet morons that he is king and they're nothing but mindless homers.

I'm sure we can all agree that Buford and Pop would be an upgrade. But do you see an obvious (available) upgrade out there for KP? I'm not one to call you a troll or anything like that. I'm just wondering if you have a solution to the problem you mentioned.

I don't think this is an issue of whether KP is a good GM. He has rebuilt a roster and made some good moves and key draft picks along the way.

What I read the article to say is it is more about KP's attitude and an air of distrust where his loyalty is.

I find it strange that KP runs and hides when it comesto the Penn firing. He should of been there the next day supporting the Blazer management. Instead he let's his agent bitch to the media the organization and makes no comment for a long time.

Something is going on here . . . KP better get over whatever it is that he is pouting about and tow the company line. That or be ready to find a new job . . .which probably doesn't intimidate KP.

There are certain people who are always looking for that next step. They aren't content with where they are, they want more money and more power.

I don't know how to describe it. They look to take credit all the time, go after high profile issues . . . they just make themselves look more impressive, especially to the right people.

There are many of these types out there, really in it for themselves more than for the organization. I don't know if KP is one of these people . . . but believe it or not, these type of people exist at all levels of society.

Towing the company line could hamstring his ability, though, to do his job. Why should he hop out there and say hey, good move. Needed to let him go, if he doesn't think that's the case. Better to say nothing at all.
Someone else will hire him if we fire him. Someone else will come in here and bring in some older guys who will immediately help us get a tiny bit further in the playoffs, to make it look like we are improving, but will spin our wheels doing it, and we'll consistently be a WCF-level team, if it happens.

KP fucked up last summer when he failed to make trades/signings like San Antonio. The Spurs were able to challenge the Lakers all year for the best record in the west unlike the Blazers.

    oops
