I'm not just talking about this year. But I think I would take what Buford has accomplished so far vs what KP has. Not a knock on KP at all. But Buford has done a swell job.

I would agree with this if KP wasn't the GM. He is expected to make statements or at least make himself availabe during times like this. And one can only assume that if he isn't making any statements to the fire, he isn't happy with it.

But you're right, if he has nothing good to say, then better nothing at all. I hope he let's it all blow over and say something positive about all this (KP is good at that). I want this because I hope he stays. If he comes out and bad mouths management like his agent, I think I would have to take the side of cutting him lose. Just can't have a GM with so much of an ego he feels he doesn't care what management thinks.

I also agree he will find another GM job . . . and the Blazers will find another GM. To me, Allen is much more important than the GM job. Any GM to Allen has a grteat chance to succeed.

I know. They have done a great job. I was just making fun of yet another "over statement" by Mixum that never happened.

    You're so clever.

If Allen gave me all that money to re-sign Zbo, Miles, Theo . . . I personally would have not resignd Theo. and Miles, used that money for other players and re-signed Zbo for less. In turn I would have been a huge success as a GM.

Point is any GM would love to have Allen's pocketbook, just because Nash didn't know how to use it doesn't mean he did have a great chance to succeed.

That or maybe I just have a short memeory.

Alright I'm done. Too many stab responses tell me as most clearly see KP as in the right, a great GM, and Allen and Vulcan as evil.

I get it . . . my input really is only going to cause friction. I'm out.

    Go Blazers!

Nope sorry. We're not even CLOSE to securing a playoff berth. Houston is only THREE losses behind us and losses are all that matter at this point. If we go on a little losing streak, Houston will be right there to take our spot. We can't get complacent or take the 8th spot for granted.

BACK to mediocrity? We are IN mediocrity right now. We have potential, sure, but right now we're holding onto the 8th seed.

Why? If only life were that simple. If you complain, you get whatever you want? That's not how the world works.

Houston plays three games before our next game is over. (We have played 3 more games then them)

If they win @ Chicago and @ OKC then yes they will only be 3 games back in the loss column.

I've talked to him a few times. Didn't seem arrogant at all. Very humble. What was telling, though, was when I thanked him for what he did for the team, he introduced me to Tom Penn and said "it was all Tom's doing."

For God's sake, when is the next game? Some of you people are flat out unhinged. Part of me wishes the Blazers DON'T make the playoffs so I have that many fewer days to read your worthless bullshit.

The majority of the GMs in the league would have made that same choice. If you're going to bash on him, you should at least go in a different direction.

RIGHT NOW, they are 3 games back in the loss column. Yes, they may lose one of their next 3 games but that doesn't change the current fact that they are 3 games back in the loss column.

I was being sarcastic! According to some this summer, the Spurs were supposed to contend for the title based on who they added. That DID NOT WORK OUT. KP did not fuck up by not getting Jefferson and McDyess. Not criticizing SA, just making a point that trades don't always work out better than standing pat. Neither team is winning it this year.
