Nah, this year I think so. Last year, Lakers were building, and right now they're in rebuilding mode, picked up knowlegde and experiance piece by piece. Andrew Bynum is suposed to be a long-term project, and I think we can trust what scouts say that he was a lot of talent and potential. A lot of people underate the teaching Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is giving Kwame Brown and Andrew Bynum, I think he's going to help him develop tremendously.
Absolutely not, was there anybody that could help LA win a championship this year? No, they picked up a guy with huge potential, he did what he was expected to do this season.
I don't think so, they needed a center and Bynum has a lot of potential, I think he'll be a very solid center in 3 years. So I would stick with him, he's had some moments this season like dunking on Shaq
Bynum was exactly what they needed, but if they could have gotten Frye, who i believe was just 1 pick lower, They would definately be going places. An Inside force with Kobe is a proven way to success, It would have helped them a lot.
No. I think he's too big of a project. He is still very young and raw. It will take a good 4 or 5 years to get him developed. Oh well, not that big of an issue. Hopefully they make smart choices this coming draft.They have lots of other young talent so I guess It doesnt really matter.

And he does block shots and rebound, if he could gain some weight I would call him a force, for now i'll settle for presence.
Andrew Bynum is extremely young and has one of the greatest teaching him... the Lakers werent looking for a championship this year, so I think this was a pretty good pick.
