A few months ago, I shared some music with the fine folks here and asked for honest opinions. I remember that being a pretty positive experience with both praise and constructive criticism. That kind of thing can be helpful. Anyways, I have since written and recorded a ton of songs and taught them to a great and talented group of musicians. We are at the point now where we are looking for shows in Portland and are really trying to make a push. What we do as a band sounds a lot better than these songs, as they are recorded on terrible equipment and by just myself, whereas my bandmates are better at there individual instruments than I could ever be. Anyways, before our little push, I thought I would get a fresh batch of constructive criticism from you folks. Keep in mind, the recording method is completely Lo-Fi. Think of song structure and feeling, and give me some feedback. Seriously. We have about 20 songs, but I have uploaded 4 to our site which kind of illustrate our basic sound. www.myspace.com/andherecomedots Let me know what you think. Good or bad.
Very cool! Thanks for sharing them. I'll check them out when I get home. I enjoyed the last stuff you posted. Keep sharing!
Not my type of music, but I think people who do like that type of music might enjoy it. One thing I noticed is that the first 3 songs have a very similiar style/sound. Might want to mix it up a little sound they dont all sound the same.
