I'd like to see Bell back for the right price this off-season. In looking at the Warriors off-season. This team is going to potentially be completely revamped. Or it could be the same team with the addition of 1 player via draft.

I think the only other team with as much volatility this off-season is the Knicks.
Haven't looked at the numbers yet. And I really think LeBron's going to re-sign in Cleveland... But, if NY were to get the #1 pick.... They take Wall...Sign/Trade or S&T for a player like Bell, sign Bosh and James re-sign McGrady (vet minimum) I think that team would be a freakishly good team.

Or, they could end up with a later pick. Not be able to sign anyone of real value and overpaying some random free agents or nobody. And end up in the same seat next season.

I hate to be all conspiracy theorist again, but I think that Cohan's dealing under the table again to get insurance to pay (like I theorized about the Claxton waiver). Bell claims he's injured for the full season, Cohan gets insurance to pay most of his contract, gives Bell a bit extra. It could explain why the Warriors didn't try to trade Bell for 2nd round draft pick when there was actually some interest in him. The only thing that defeats this theory is that Bell is a really good guy and that the Warriors really are decimated, otherwise I'd swear there was something fishy going on.

All that being said, I hope he does come back. I don't think the Bird rights would have been any use at Bell's age, we're not looking to expand past the salary cap right now, nor are most other teams. But at the same time, for the right price, every team could use a guy like Bell, a defender, excellent role-player and professional mentor-type guy that sets a good example.
