When observing this years playoff race, one thing I have noticed is that Denver is starting to skid. I don't know if it is the Kenyon Martin injury, the George Karl medical issues becoming a distraction, but is it possible the best playoff position to shoot for, is to matchup with Denver. They have lost 2 in a row, losing to what I consider inferior opponents. If Denver skids, they won't be in #2 much longer. But the question remains, where will they end up. I could see them skidding to 4th very easily. But it would be hard for Portland to move to to 5. Not impossible, but hard. IMO Denver is a superior team to Portland...but sometimes timing is everything.
Re: Denver llate season skid? Without K-Mart that team doesn't quite have the 'swagger' I've come to expect from them -- they're not exactly soft without him, but I think some of the fear factor they've built up gets taken away. If they do slide, I can think of worse matchups, but we still suck in Denver.
Re: Denver llate season skid? It looks like no Karl is hurting them alot. And He might miss the rest of the season. Good for the rest of the league. But I hope George Karl gets well.
Re: Denver llate season skid? Yep definitly wishing that dude the best through some rough times. I was really surprised Karl or not, that they couldn't handle the Knicks with the importance of the game on the line.
Re: Denver llate season skid? What's amazing is that given all we've been through, we're only 4 games behind that team.
