We got some nice help tonight. Denver lost to Boston, is it possible we can catch them with them being on a slide? OKC won tonight which was unfortunate, however, they beat a team in Houston and separated them from us. It is always hard cheering for the Lakers, but they did help us by beating the Spurs tonight. Memphis is losing by like 18, but there is plenty of time left in that. I don't care who we play really, however, I want to avoid Utah at all costs, I honestly think they are the one team who will sweep us. You can always mark a loss at Salt Lake as well, I feel we would have a better chance against the Lakers, Denver, or Mavs at there place. Now we need to take care of business and beat the Mavs tomorrow! Roy needs to be more efficient and not take 20 some shots and only make like 7 of them like he did against Phoenix.
It will be HUGE if they win tomorrow. While the Nuggets lost again, I don't think we're catching them. And while it's good the Spurs lost, and they do have the Cavs coming up and then @ Boston, we have to stop losing games ourselves.
The teams behind us are not winning at a high enough rate to catch us, so let's hope that continues. We could catch the Spurs, but passing OKC is going to be tough.
It is kind of scary to think we haven't had a real solid win since the Memphis game at the beginning of March. We have had a pretty easy schedule, but the teams who are good such as Phoenix and Denver have beaten us. We need to learn how to beat the good teams again and quick (especially at home where the guys don't seem to try much at all).
I just love the fact we got a little closer to clinching a playoff spot. Our magic number is one for eliminating New Orleans.
Then why do you want us to move up in the standings? If we stay at the 8th spot, we definitely won't face Utah.
To be fair, it's always a nice night to be a Blazer fan! But to get back to the root of your post, we need to look how much we can jump up, not if we're going to fall down. I think we end up with the 6th seed. I really do think we beat OKC twice. As for the trolls, all this negative energy just makes me stronger. Tonight, we rock Portland! (a Matt Dillon "Singles" reference).
