Ron Artest

I couldn't read the whole article but I saw on nba.com that Ron Artest said he would play for free if the Kings brought back Rick Adelman and Bonzi Wells. That's all I could read so if anyone has more info post it here.

 

I think we all know damn well he wouldn't play for free on any team.

 

He would probably pull a Sprewell and after a few months say he needs money to feed his family.

 

That is just bullsh** coming out of his mouth. He's going to ask for a paycheck.

 

I'm sure he was just saying it as an example of how much he wants those guys to stay.

why does he say these ridiculous things to the media. the rap album, publicly embarassing the pacers organization demanding a trade, thinking the kings will actually win the nba title and lose in the first round now this? what is the deal with him? i'm seriously wondering if he has a mental problem.

 

Yah I don't believe this, he's saying this to get some attention. He may get a pay cut though

 

He's not going to play for free. He lost approximately $5 to 6 million by being suspended for the brawl last season, and he is still only playing on an extension to his rookie contract.

 

Yeah he's obviously not playing for free. Sometimes you have to look into the words. He was just getting the point across that he really really wants Bonzi/Adleman back. Well, 1 down, 1 to go I guess. Sorry Ron, but coach is already gone.
