Just got back from ER. My son put a motherboard screw up his nose when I was working on my computer. I swear. You turn your head away for 2 seconds...
LoL! It was really scary at first, because I didn't know what was wrong. He just started crying this weird cry out of no where. Then he started touching his nose. Then I noticed a screw missing lol It was terrible to hear him cry so loud when they pulled it out. Poor lil guy!
lol. It gets easier. That's all I can say. I've got a 4 year old who has no problems using a toilet, helps his little brother, kind of cleans up after himself, can explain exactly what he needs without tears, and is starting to be a real self-sustaining little human being.
Yeah I cannot wait till he gets a little older!!! Although I do love these times. Just ER stuff freaks me out.
If this had occured a few years down the road when we have nationalized healthcare, the wait would have been so long the screw would have been outdated.
I'll tell you what. The nurse was so stupid, such a terrible nurse. I wanted to complain about her. I could not believe how incompetent she was.
There was a 55 year old male nurse talking to nursing students outside my hospital room last year telling them how much he hated his job and that he only chose the career for the money and job security. This guy was a real prick, he was rude to my girlfriend and took forever to do anything. If I could have gotten out of bed I would have went out and gave him hell.
When I had my vasectomy done recently, the doctor (who incidentally is a dead-ringer for Steve Buscemi) had this long, graphic conversation with the nurse about how one time he'd accidentally punctured a testicle with the shot because the patient squirmed. This is in the middle of the goddamned operation.
