My patience with Webster is completely gone. His trade value is in the shitter. The only bad move by KP.

Kid's a head case. Too bad. Unlike his haters, I see the kid's potential, but untill he puts it together between the ears, he's never gonna be more than a bench rider with rollercoaster minutes.

What was the bad move that KP made in regards to Webster?

He didn't draft him. The only thing he did was sign him to a below MLE contract.

This comment reads as if it were from 06.

Kinda disappointing about how much that has to do with Webster's lack of improvement from his first and second years in the NBA.

To be fair, he was straight outta high school. You can't really give a player in that position a proper evaluation until at least year 4. Look at Kobe Bryant his first few years for evidence of this... or Travis Outlaw for that matter. Martell has had ample opportunity to get the game squared away in his mind, figure out his strengths and weaknesses, and adjust his game accordingly. He hasn't done that. He's obviously not a stupid guy, so the problem must be either he never had the skills to begin with, which I don't believe, or that he's got some sort of mental block to reaching his potential. I choose to believe the latter.

Think the Rockets would take Webster for Budinger?

That's exactly it. It's his 5th year and he still looks like he did his rookie. He hasn't improved at all. At least Travis showed some progression. His extension was a mistake, but at the time I liked it. I know we have the benefit of hindsight, but damn I always thought this kid had a lot of upside.

What is this, a debate over Webster? You guys are impatient. I'm willing to go with Pritchard's judgment and wait another couple of years.

Agreed. I'm not sure what the mystery is, MARIS61. The Blazers needed a center. The Clips wanted expiring contracts and money for Camby. The Blazers had two expiring contracts: Blake and Outlaw. Webster doesn't have an expiring contract.
