I know they have the easiest schedule remaining of all us bottom seeds, but they really started going on a tear after they took Channing out and replaced him with Lopez. Now this....... Robin Lopez | Suns Top Email The Suns learned yesterday that starting center Robin Lopez has a bulging disk in his back will keep him out at least two weeks. He will be re-evaluated April 12 after a week of rest and a week of rehabilitation. Suns general manager Steve Kerr says the team should not overreact to the loss of Lopez. "This is the way it goes," Kerr told The Arizona Republic. "This is why you build depth. This is why it's been so important for (coach) Alvin (Gentry) and the staff to develop the bench over the last year. I see no reason why we can't continue to be successful and win games." "Everybody responds differently to back issues," Kerr added. "On the bright side, the long term is he should be fine and maybe even this year." As ESPN's John Hollinger wrote last week, the Suns have been hot with Lopez in the starting lineup, so it's a somewhat of a big loss.
