Just whipped it up on TradeChecker, it's not that bad of a deal for either teams, both of these teams need some serious changes because thier current situations are clearly not working out well. It's also a successfull scenario.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Philly would never do that.</div>Why? just because Iverson scores 35 points a game and they don't make the playoffs? His scoring is amazing but it's not leading them anywhere
Yeah but he's a former MVP and one of the top 5-10 players in the NBA, Stephon's value has plummeted since he was traded to the Knicks and he's definitely not worth Iverson.
nah that trades not goin down because they would never trade iverson and marbury to the same division. iverson means wayyyyy too much to philly for him to be traded. marbury isn't the Answer for them haha. you catch that?
New York rapes the Sixers in this trade, and there is no way in hell Billy King does this trade, no matter how dumb and stupid he is...The Sixers may not be winning, but Iverson is much, much better than Marbury. If they aren't winning with Iverson, they sure as hell aren't winning with Marbury. And then you think about how the fans would react. Sure, we are willing to get rid of Iverson for the right deal, but this is FAR from the right deal.

As you would say. I don't see why either team would do it, Iverson is a marketing icon and bringing in Marbury makes no sense, I don't think Curry is good enough to mend the loss of Iverson.
well all I know is Philly isn't going to get an equal trade value for AI unless they get a d-wade, lebron, type of player which will NEVER happen. I'm still not convinced that this trade is that bad. Also, this doesn't involve my trade at all but I don't think I've ever read any trade threads where people have said...oh yeah that's a good trade

Plus, Dalembert>Curry.</div> Curry > Dalembert especially for the Sixers Curry needs to lose that weight again, but he is a very strong guy, an excellent post player, and he's young. If he loses that weight and works on his rebounding he could be a top 5 center in the NBA no doubt. He was on the rise with the Bulls. Dalembert is a skilled shot blocker and can rebound, but he hasn't improved since last year and he still has nothing offensively.

If they are still trying to win now, they would be better off keeping Iverson rather than trading him for a cancer in Marbury. They would also look to move him to the Western Conference, not keep him in the East... let alone the same division.Marbury is a very poor man's version of Iverson. The fans would be outraged if AI is sent to the Knicks, let alone for the cancerous Stephon Marbury and overweight Eddy Curry. The only winners in this scenario are Larry Brown and the Knicks.
i'd rather have dalembert over curry any day. he plays d curry doesn't. curry's upside is his potential. that's all people say about him but potential means nothing. it's how you produce NOW.
Allen Iverson has been the face of the franchise for the past 10 years. A decade. I think he's one of those Karl Malone who spent 99% of their career with one team. AI is a Philly 76er. And he likes it there, just doesn't like losing. I could see maybe a Webber trade going down but not this. And by the way, whats TradeChecker?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>And by the way, whats TradeChecker?</div>go to www.realgm.com you can make your own trades that you would like to see happen and see if they actually can happen in respect to contracts and all the other trading constraints the NBA has. It's pretty cool, it has all the contract information of the players too, I just use it sometimes to see how overpaid some players are.
