    I remember as a kid arguing with a red neck friend of mine who was a huge Queen fan about whether Freddy Mercury was gay. I remember shoving the lyrics for the song Breakthrough in his face and explaining how it was obviously about a guy losing his anal sex cherry. Mike was dead sure a guy who wrote "Fat Bottom Girls" had to be straight, and we nearly got in a fight over it. Three years later and Freddy was dead from AIDS, but Mike had long since moved to another state and I couldn't rub his nose in it. Ah, the old days before Wikipedia settled every dispute in under a minute.

    If you're somewhere out there reading this, Mike Bale, fuck you. Admit I was right. Admit it.
