This year's Mr. Irrelevant was a wide reciever that came from my school, the university of maine, I thought it was pretty interesting because our football team isn't even D1-A, it's D1-AA. Anyway reguardless, he's a 6 foot 2 wide out and was freakin nasty for us this year. He runs the same 40-yard dash as Reggie Bush, he's quite an athlete, it should be interesting to see if he ever makes a roster.Kevin McMahan
I don't think he will make a roster. His stats weren't all that impressive and he's playing for a D-II school.

It goes D-1A, D-1AA, D-III, D-II in ranks of how competitive the play is. D-III is more competitive than D-II is. Reguardless, it was just cool to see the guy get drafted, especially Mr. Irrelevant. Some company holds a Mr. Irrelevant weekened in California, McMahan gets a new car and a weekend stay at some sick resort on some beach in Cali. It was overall a pretty cool thing for the university because we our notorious in hockey...half the team has already been drafted by the NHL. Our football team is slowly gaining respect, it's kind of cool to see.

I know in football D2 is better than D3, but in a lot of sports its the opposite. I know that in tennis D3 is better than D2, but definitely not in football, because I know some pretty unathletic people that succeeded in D3 football.

It goes both ways, I was just trying to make the point that UMaine is a D1 affiliate, it's not a DII school. There are some DIII schools that are better than DII schools. The only real major difference between the two is that DII gives out scholarships and DIII does not.
Two came out of mine this year... Reggie McNeal (was a QB but is moving to WR for the Bengals) and Johnny Jolly (Going to GB as a DT). Meh.
