Too lazy to post a link. He strained his Achilles tendon or something. I'm assuming by all reports that it's not serious. Drew thinks he'll be out for the road trip, which means he'll miss at least 6 games. Phil says Drew is in high spirits, and he walked off the court by himself, so hopefully he'll be back soon. In the meantime, we'll just have to rely on LO and Pau. I really hope this injury forces Pau to step up and be more aggressive.
Pau will probably be more aggressive after this, what I'm worried of is that, if Bynum comes back, they might both be uncomfortable playing with each other again.
Odom hurt his shoulder, too. He said he wouldn't be able to shoot or rebound. What is he good for? Drew will be fine.
Phil says Drew is doing very well, and is hopeful he may return before the end of the road trip. Good news.
Now I'm hearing no timetable on his return?? (ESPN reports) So I'm guessing he's not going to be back for a wild. BIG time bummer b/c I signed him onto my fantasy basketball team as well as I am in the playoffs And, of course, Lakers need him badly.
IDK, part of me thinks he isn't really that injured, it's just Laker management saying "rest up for the playoffs, we'll tell everybody you got an injury." Isn't this EXACTLY what happened last season (showing up for the last couple of games of the season, a "warm-up" for the playoffs)??
Bynum's 2nd MRI reconfirms no tear I am wondering why they can't set a timetable if there is no tear in the tendon.
I say this because I simply think the L*kers are a better team than Portland, and it looks like there is a decent chance we finish 8th. I hope he is fine, but needs to miss the first round of the playoffs.
Strained achilles are pretty painful. He can walk straight and back with no pain what-so-ever, but he can't run or jump yet. And movie side to side is pretty painful IIRC from an update on Friday.
