Greg is on 95.5 right now. And....

Marcus Camby will be a guest on the BFT (95.5 FM) at 4 PM and Monty Williams will be on Primetime (1080 The Fan) at around 5:10 today.

Honestly I'd rather hear CAMBY say he's coming back to Portland next year than hear Greg say he'll make it back this season

    Thanks for the heads up

Camby wants to take it a day at a time, but he says he can see himself finishing out his career here!!!

Cool I hope he is. The other day I thought about picking up a Camby jersey for the home games.

I saw a Dope nuggets throwback Camby jersey at the Wizards game, only way I'd buy a Denver jersey

That is the only thing that held me back. I didn't want to buy a jersey of a player who might only be here until EOY.

If you LOVE to play basketball, which I think Camby does (not all players LOVE to play), then ending a long career in an NBA-crazy city like Portland would seem like a fitting end. Having that team be on a short-list of title contenders, while being able to mentor a young, star-crossed center with All-Star talent, would be ideal.

I hope he comes back, but let's not forget the power of family. His wife and kids are still down in LA and have not joined him. As somebody who travels a lot, I can tell you how unbelievably hard it can be to be away from your wife and kids. Heard she really likes it down there. On the other hand, we can pay him more then anybody else, so maybe his wife likes to shop!!!!!!

True, but Camby's travel will end within the next few years, unless he decides he wants to try his hand at coaching. Someone like yourself, who I understand works on the TV side of the Blazers, basically has an indefinite window for travel, at least in terms of the job you have and the length of your career. You could do your job at age 60; Camby is an "old man" in the NBA at the age of 37. I've always found that odd. People treat Brett Favre like he's an aged Sinatra, but the reality is he would still be considered young in any corporate setting.

It does stress me out that a fellow 37 year old, is considered old!
