I'd love adding Kevin to Greg and LA... thats a great rotation of complimentary Bigs. I don't know why Minni would give him up for the mentioned deal as their cupboard isn't overflowing with quality Bigs and neither is this upcoming draft. No way in hell I'd trade him straight up for LA (even if their contracts didn't make this an impossibility). Yes he can board but he struggles to match up on anyone on D... he's sort of like Zach in that regard. pretty unlikely scenario STOMP
Love is one of the better rebounders in the league. This isn't an expiring for expiring old-man Camby type of a situation so you're going to have to come up with a better offer than that.
I'll bet that 80% of the league GM's would choose LA over Love as their starting PF if they had the choice.
You actually might be right. But not all GMs are smart. Look at Loves production and look at LMA...I like Lamarcus alot but I don't think he has the motivation to be great. I know Kevin personally and I know how hard he has worked to get to this point. He is a gym rat...For what we need I like Kevin more.
ummmmm ... http://www.basketball-reference.com...um=1&p1=aldrila01&y1=2010&p2=loveke01&y2=2010 Imagine if Aldridge shot 37% from 3, but also pulled down 14 boards per 36 minutes, and also had Love's passing ability? I dunno, I like Aldridge, but whatever gap exists between the two players sure seems to point to Love being the more special talent.
Kevin Love absolutely sucks on D... why not mention that? Poor lateral movement and below average height/length for a starting 4 are why. On the other hand LA has excellent height/length and can effectively guard most frontcourt players. whats the given reason Love doesn't start for the terrible Wolves? Dude doesn't even average 30 MPG STOMP
If he were a Blazer I'd worry about KL's D a lot a bit... he's got a SF's height/length and a Center's girth/mobility. Those sort of physical limitations don't point to him developing into a special talent as for the impressive stats that you passed alongside LA's, he's getting those as a backup on one of the worst teams in the league... not exactly apples to apples STOMP
He's 21 years old, and he's getting 4 less minutes than Jefferson. In fact, look at the whole roster: Jefferson 32.4MP Brewer 30.5 MP Flynn 28.9 MP Love 28.7 MP Gomes 28.7 MP Darko 23.9 MP and it goes down from there.
