Nice find. One thing I noticed, though, is that they're efficiency rating tends to undvervalue the SG position, at least in terms of numeric value.

What? The fact that Roy doesn't show up in even the top 10 SG bothers you? :tsktsk:

Roy is #3 in SG behind Wade and Kobe, but they're numbers are low compared to, say, the PF position. They have David Lee at #3 overall among ALL players. It makes no sense.

It's still useful though. I've been checking out the playoff teams in the west versus the other top 8 in the west, which give you efficiency comparisons as well as won-lost comparisons. PDX fares a lot better relatively speaking than I thought they would.

Definitly. It gives you more angles for analyzing play. It all adds up to more knowledge of the game.

Check out efficiency difference for the last 10 games. Great indicator of how hot our team is right now. :ghoti:

Go to advanced team stats, and sort on PER descending from highest to lowest. the 16 teams in the playoffs? They're all above 15 PER average. I thought that was interesting.

Thanks for posting this. I love it. And I always knew David Lee was the third best player in the league. It's nice to see it validated.

That dude wasn't even the third best player on the floor last night, much less the third best player overall.

If he was the third best player in the league his team would be going to the playoffs instead of going fishing.

You must not have been reading my posts. I have linked to HoopStats several times on this board. It's my favorite source. On my former board, I argued with Nuraman about which is better, my site or his, 82games. For example, Sergio was our most improved player last season over the previous season.

Look at the headings on your link, like Euroleague stats. Look at the headings on my link, like Tips, Streaks, and By Quarter. This is where all those radio guys get the stats that they throw in during the game.
