Not to mention that Roy was facing one of the better 2-guard defenders. The Nuggets have a habit of picking up good cheap stoppers at shooting guard. (Not as good as Thabo S., but pretty damn good.)

I'm honestly disappointed in Roy- recently he's had a few bad games. Denver, Houston, Oklahoma.. But I still believe in him as our star.

Last night Roy had another one of his 'looks like he's not trying his hardest' type of games. He has had a lot more of those this year. I still remember when he laid down against the Clippers this year in LA.

I think whenever Miller starts dominating the ball Roy just says fuck it and stops. It hurts that he can't run the fast-break.

Amazing! You do realize if Brandon wasn't the great all around player that he is, we would NOT have made the playoffs last season right! Amazing!

OK, OK, look you idiots. I suppose my statement was a bit harsh, but here is what is indisputable... in 2 playoff games in the final minute or two with a chance to win Brandon repeatedly drove the lane into triple and quadruple teams, had the ball stripped and left wide open teammates with mid range jump shots. IMHO, had he passed to his teammates, we had a better chance to win the game. But he didn't do it. Now, for those of you who are lame of brain, I fully realize we may not have made the playoffs without him... I took it for granted there were a few non high schoolers around here who could read between the lines.

There, everyone feel friggin' better now?

    I know I do!

Of course, that might be because I just cracked the first beer of the weekend.

(The ones I drank earlier today don't count, those were the last beers of the work week.)

My frustration with Roy is in large part due to my disappointment in LA and Oden. I knew all along that Roy was a second tier star. Not the kind of guy to be the no questions asked best player on a contender. I had hoped that either LA or Oden would get to the point where they were on the level with Brandon. We'd still be at a disadvantage to a team with a top tier star, but we'd have a shot. Kind of like the Mavericks would have had if they kept Steve Nash. But it's obvious that we'll be lucky if LA or Oden are ever all-stars, much less comparable to Roy.

So our best hope to not be doomed to mediocrity is that Roy develops into a top tier guy. And that's not happening. He seems to be regressing.

I'm not quite to the point where I think we'd be better off trading Brandon and whatever else it takes to acquire a top tier player. But I can understand if people feel that way.

I wonder how many other forums go ape shit and start pointing fingers at everyone including the undisputed best player and franchise player when we have a bad game. Do people forget that Roy is a 3 time allstar rookie of the yearn and got named to the SECOUND all NBA team last year?

Second team means tier two star to me, how do you read it? I'd dare say if Wade was in the west with Kobe, Roy wouldn't have made an allstar team yet. He needs to be a consistent star every game not every third game, his game has stalled this year, another level hasn't been reached this year.

Maybe Nate shouldn't start Brandon tonight because of his "poor" play the other night.

If Iverson AND Wade were also in the West, Roy would never ever ever make an All-Star team!

Chris Paul, tier 2 star. Deron Williams, not even a tier 3 star. Sounds like good company to me. D. Wade has only been 1st team once. Sounds like another 2nd tier star. Carmelo, never even been 2nd team. 3rd tier star. So, yeah, if you're making your judgments off of that, then I like his company. Label him how you like.
