Pretty typical reaction around here. A lot of people have short-term/selective memories, and those people are freaking out right now.
Well, let's face it, the majority of the posters here come home from middle or high school, steal dad's beer and start posting. What else should we expect? We have a good team that has been made better for what they've been thru this year. I wouldn't be surprised if we take the first round series to a game 7 or even maybe win.
This board is seriously weighing on me. It's like a bad drug through, I keep coming back even though I know I won't get much out of it. Fun at first, now it's just destructive.
One could also make the case that this hot streak we've been on coincides closely with mostly crap opponents and getting clobbered by Denver just shows we're not as good as 14-2 sounded, so "short-term/selective memories" can go either way.
I don't like the players because they don't dominate each and every night. I don't like the coaches because they are predictable assclowns. I don't like the management because they can't do fantasy trades. When the Blazers win, it isn't good enough. They should have won by more. When the Blazers lose, my self-esteem is crushed, and the sky must fall. This sounds somewhat clinical to me. If the Blazers disappoint you so much, perhaps you are rooting for the wrong team? Why did all these negative people accumulate here? Add up the posts sometime. These negative posts outweigh all others. And no I'm not talking about criticism. This negativity goes way beyond that. Rastapopoulis might call this behavior Katharsis of some sort. For those of you not trained in the Greek Tragedies: typically there is a hero with the tragic flaw who builds you up and lets you down and yet you somehow feel better for the experience. Can y'all kathart someplace else? Or at least mix it up a little?
hahahaha some dude on those boards actually signed up as mixum!!! good stuff... often imitated but never duplicated. even here posters are more negative! finally the kool aid club is slowly dying. fans are starting to see mixum was right all along!
