Kareem, Hakeem is a great center one of the top 3 of alltime.. but I gotta go with Kareem with his poise skyhook and his scoring/rebounding. Oh yeah.. hes 6 mvps also.

Kareem. Not even worth arguing really. Hakeem was an amazing player that probably played Shaq more effectively than any other single person in history, but Kareem is a top 5-10 player all time.

You have to go with Kareem based on the fact that he put up great numbers throughout a very long career, he won championships and MVPs, there's no real knocks on him. That being said, I hate him and he's one of my least favorite retired players.

Kareem because he's the all-time leading scorer in the history of the NBA, won a lot of championships, and got 6 MVP's. I think Hakeem's a better defensive player though, they're both top 5 centers, and JustBlaze why do you hate Kareem?

He's racist, boring, arrogant. I never found his game exciting to watch, his goggles were gay, and now he think he's some great writer, the guy just annoys me.

I've never appreciated Kareem Abdul Jabbar. He was a finesse player, had one post move, and basically finished off Magic Johnson's passes. In honesty, I think I've seen 13 Kareem games, and in each I saw a play with one unguardable move, and nothing else.

^If that "one" unguardable move can make you the NBA's all time leading scorer than who cares?

I care. One move against all of Hakeems moves. And Kareem had that great PG hsi whole career to get him 10 points a night. Hakeem didn't ahve a constant, great PG.Hakeem was a better defender, more offensive moves, and wasn't a shabby winner either. He also had a better jumpshot, as he could pull you 15 feet out.

Before magic came he had 4 seasons of at least 30PPG, 4 seasons of at least 15RPG, and 6 seasons of at least 3BPG. When Magic came his stats went down (although he was a very cosnsitent player for career, on NBA first team 10x and NBA second team 5x, 5 time all NBA first team for defense, 6 time all NBA second team for defense, 6 MVP's, 6 championships). And who cares if Hakeem had mroe offensive moves. Kareem was a lifetime 56% FG shooter with the one mvoe he used, and averaged for his career 26PPG on that move. Hakeem averaged 22PPG on 51% shooting. Never averaged more than 30PPG. Both averaged 11RPG or so for career, but Kareem had multiple seasons where he was averaging 14RPG or so....Hakeem never had RPG that high (highest was around 12RPG). Only real stats Hakeem has on Kareem is BPG, which is about .4 more for careeer.Kareem is the better player. Hakeem was one of best defending centers EVER, but Kareem was arguably the BEST offensive center ever, very efficient and came in huge doses when in prime. Kareem was also no slouch on D, as I showed.

Can I ask something. How many of you actually have even seen either one of these guys play? I'm not talking about the late 90's either where Hakeem was putting up low double digits either, or his last year in the league with Toronto. Same with Kareem. I guarentee nobody here has seen them play. So, I, for one am not gunna debate.

Also, seeing 5 minute highlight reels does not count. Or 1-2 games on NBA Classic.

Dont bother posting in the topic if you arent going to compare them.
