Man I feel terrible for that team, they were really starting to put something together there in Milwaukee.
It hurts just watching it.
Damn, that really sucks. The Bucks have played their asses off. A playoff team with such a mediocre roster and now they lose their best player.
Skiles has done a helluva job with that team ... True COY material; that team was expected to win 20 games this year.
That might be the most painful injury you could have because you naturally want to move your arms when you are in pain. A lower body injury you can lay there a bit, same with a back. An arm just sucks.
I agree, he has done an amazing job with them. Skiles falls in the "Jon Gruden" category of coaches. He know the game, rides his players super hard, has a ton of success for a while, then eventually the team tunes him out and he fails miserably. I've got a ton of respect for what he's done with the Bucks this year.
Agreed- however, to me he seems like a potential Jerry Sloan type of coach- if he has the support of his front office and they don't just can him because of a couple of whiny players, he could be GREAT long term. Unfortunately that situation doesn't seem the case in the NBA anymore. He, Nate and Brooks (OKC) should be the COY candidates, IMO. Fuck, that video is sickening. Really bummed for Bogut- I love the attitude he plays with. Not as bummed for the Bucks, because I would have been shocked if they made it out of the first round, anyway.
Maybe I'm blind, but I didn't see any contact there in the slow-mo... It looked bad at full speed from the first angle, but I think Bogut just took a nasty spill on his own.
bogut is a rich mans oden as far as health goes. both are always hurt but at least bogut makes it past the holidays before hearing out for season. our gimp usually settles for training camp or thanksgiving.
