Martell, who has always been underwhelming and inconsistent, is still underwhelming and inconsistent. Bayless, though markedly better then last year, still isn't all that. Travis has been traded. Blake traded. Joel is injured. Rudy is battling injuries. Sergio sucked most all the time and is gone. 2nd rounder Cunningham is a surprise that he contributes at all... I'm struggling to understand what you're talking about? I don't see Roy's intangible magic as having much to do with guys who aren't here, guys who are injured, 2nd round rookies or guys who've floundered throughout their careers. STOMP
+1 The team has turned into the Andre Miller show imo... w/o that many fb's. I havent seen roy take over in a long time.
Teams have figured out how to stop Portland when they try and isolate Roy and Portland hasn't adjusted their strategy to free Roy up in different ways. Miller gets a ton of his points by forcing the ball up the floor to take the other team by surprise. Not really the same thing, IMHO. Other teams have decided the best way to defeat Portland is to make someone other then Roy beat them. Turns out that strategy works pretty well.
Roy wasn't as good earlier in the season either, when those subs were playing. So it doesn't matter that some were injured part of the year and some have been traded. It's you guys who sign your name at the end of your posts. I insert a little extra oomph just for you.
